Yellow-bellied Marmot

This little guy came out of hiding briefly and then hide once more. He appear just as we were departing the top of Pompeys Pillar. My parents were shocked on how much has changed over the years since they last visited the area.

What it's called now is Pompeys Pillar National Monument with a Visitor Center and paved road and parking lot, plus you have to pay now to go see it. The signature of William Clark has been placed in a glass case to ensure the it did get distroyed, but it ruined the whole thing - photos are pointless.
